
Findings' proprietor, Maura Campion
Wilson, was eager to continue the
momentum of her growing St. Helena retail business
which featured eclectic home accessories, exquisite
antique and vintage items, fine furnishings, art and
collectibles, as well as handcrafted and unique lines
of jewelry and personal accessories.
Like most retail business owners,
Maura was challenged with the day to day operations
of managing a thriving retail enterprise. Executing
excellent customer service, managing employee relations,
buying and rotating merchandise and shipping
items sold being her primary focus, she had little
time to market her store properly. Maura
was incredibly confident with the pace of business
as it was, yet she recognized that it was time
to pass the baton and retain professional marketing
expertise to drive her business closer.
Together with this savvy business
owner, we defined her
primary marketing goals: to establish brand awareness
in the highly competitive retail market and to generate
new revenue sources. This
beautiful store carrying unique finds from around the
world had a need to preserve floor merchandising space
as well as to move warehoused inventory of items with
operational efficiency.
Maura Wilson approached ARROW to
develop a media plan and to design her print advertising
campaign for the remainder of 2004 and 2005. ARROW
managed the insertion orders and production process
in a variety of publications in an expeditious manner
in order to meet the publication deadlines.
In October 2004, ARROW was retained
to design and develop a website for Findings
which would provide an online shopping
storefront to drive sales of back stock merchandise
and continuous product lines that Findings enjoys representing,
as well as to collect data from customers
who visited her store. For this project, ARROW researched
the store's target customer base, created an affordable
advertising campaign in the store's direct feeder
markets, provided product and interior photography
and developed a website to create a new source
of revenues for this small business owner.
