Bob Gustin of Gustin Property Group LLC contacted ARROW hospitality consulting services to assist with the opening of the River Terrace Inn in the heart of downtown Napa.

In October of 2003, the Inn was strategically positioned on 300 feet of Napa River frontage overlooking a wildlife sanctuary. The $16 million, luxury boutique hotel was developed by Gustin Property Group LLC on 3.4 acres and is owned by Wine Country Hotels LLC, both of Albuquerque, NM.  The Inn was financed by Hall Financial Group.  Florida-based Driftwood Hospitality Management LLC opened the 106 room Inn, which includes 33 suites, 1,500 square feet meeting space, a café, and a wine bar in January 2004.

Guestrooms and suites with balconies offer complimentary high-speed Internet access and Wi-Fi, DVD/CD players, designer bath and body products with hypoallergenic soaps, and mini-bars featuring selections of Napa Valley wine.  The suites also feature expanded vanity areas and oversize, self-cleaning MTI whirlpool tubs that over look the landscape.

Restaurant Budo, a freestanding, fine dining restaurant opened in October of 2004 featuring the talents of Chef James McDevitt, recognized as one of the top chefs in the United States by Food & Wine magazine, Gourmet and the James Beard Foundation.

ARROW had just a small window of opportunity to launch the independent hotel brand with a leadership position in a highly competitive market. The ARROW team began the roll out campaign with the development of a media plan which included local, regional and national print magazine and directories.

On approval of the scope and budget, our creative department produced the design and copy for the campaign, coordinating the effort with the respective publishers’ production offices. In spring 2004 ARROW presented a new design to further enhance the image to the feeder markets: San Francisco and surrounding areas.

For in-room and front of the house collateral design, ARROW developed an inventory of the management needs, including robe cards, parking checks, guest directory, and a brochure for the creative in-room spa services. ARROW designed and produced all the art and managed printing of the materials.

Following the River Terrace Inn opening, Driftwood Hospitality elected to retain the monthly services of ARROW to manage the annual media plan, negotiation and production of advertisement, and promotional representation as deemed necessary by the Inn. 

We are proud of the accomplishments of the River Terrace Inn’s management team for their tenacity and commitment to their brands success as well as their outstanding leadership role in the Napa Valley community. Today we continue our relationship with the River Terrace Inn, producing and managing their advertising insertions throughout the year in a variety of demographically targeted publications ranging from the program guides for the San Francisco Ballet, NV Guidebook, 7x7 Magazine to Sunset Magazine.
